Research tools developed
Algorithms for the transformation of NSP graphs to SP-form
During my Ph.D. thesis work I developed two new algorithms to transform NSP (Non-Series-Parallel) graphs to SP (Series-Parallel) form. The algorithms were implemented in JAVA to develop the experimental tools needed for the thesis.
The code is registered and I allow free access to the code upon request. If you are interested, please, contact me by eMail.
Hitmap library
Hitmap is a C-funtions library that implements a run-time set of tools that helps in the implementation of parallel programs from more abstract specifications.
It has been developed as a run-time system for a compilation, and automatic parallel code transformation system named TRASGO. However, it may be used independently to simplify the management, partition, and communication of data structures in generic parallel programs (See our publications for more information).
The Htimap version v1.2 may be freely accesed upon request.
Ph.D. thesis
My Ph.D. thesis is focused in the analysis of expressiveness of parallel programming models, and how it relates to the implicit synchronization architecture of the model. The discussions and conclusiones still applies to the new emerging parallel programming models.
The dissertation and the slides of the presentation can be obtained here.
